Sesame-Soy Green Beans

These delicious Sesame-Soy Green Beans will delight you with their nutty aroma and savory notes of soy. A simple and quick side dish that gives your meal an Asian flair.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, grated

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:

After blanching for two to three minutes in boiling water, drop the green beans into ice water to finish cooking


After draining, set aside


To make the dressing, combine the soy sauce, grated ginger, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic in a small bowl


A big skillet should be heated to medium heat


Pour the dressing over the blanched green beans and add them


Add the beans and saut for 34 minutes, tossing to coat evenly in dressing


Add sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds to the beans, then toss for one more minute


Take off the heat and place on a platter for serving


Enjoy while hot!
