Chablis Chicken with Herb Butter Sauce

This delicious dish has soft chicken breasts and a rich herb butter sauce made with Gueguen Chablis 2017 wine. The wine adds a delicate flavor that goes well with the salty chicken and fragrant herbs. This recipe is both fancy and easy to follow, and it's sure to impress.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 cup Chablis 2017 wine

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 190C 375F

On both sides, salt and pepper the chicken breasts

A big skillet that can go in the oven should have olive oil in it

It will take about 34 minutes on each side for the chicken breasts to turn golden brown after you add them

Place the skillet in an oven that has already been heated and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked

Take the skillet out of the oven and put the chicken on a plate

To keep it warm, cover it with foil

Put the pan back on the stove and set it on medium heat

To the skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped shallot

Saut for one to two minutes, until the garlic and shallot smell good

Use Chablis wine to clear out the pan and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom

It will take about 5 minutes of simmering after adding the chicken broth until the liquid is cut in half

Add heavy cream and stir

Simmer for another two to three minutes, until the sauce gets a little thicker

After taking the pan off the heat, add the butter and whisk it in until it melts and the sauce is smooth

To taste, add salt and pepper to the sauce

Add the chicken breasts back to the pan and cover them with sauce

Add chopped parsley and chives as a garnish before serving
